A couple of years ago I bought a bag of some sort of horticultural sand (picture of a seed tray on the bag) but after use I found it was too fine and compacted too much in the mixture. This year when repotting I substituted perlite instead to be on the safe side. It's not easy getting growing supplies in Ireland. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
