FlytrapCare
Tentatively named FTS Tall Giant (though likely to be renamed soon), this is a monster of a flytrap with large traps, long teeth (cilia) and extremely long leaves. Very dangerous looking! This flytrap originally a seedling from Bob Ziemer's seed harvest that I got in 2009 and put in tissue culture, hence the BZ40 (it was the 40th seedling I deflasked). I had it in tissue culture again early last year, but took it out because I wasn't sure of its size or impressiveness. But last spring it impressed me with its large traps and long leaves and again this spring it is very impressive; probably the best looking flytrap in the greenhouses right now. It just might be the next flytrap from FlytrapStore to be named and distributed :) Suggested names are welcome!
SoLongFairWell
It looks incredible. What is the size of the biggest trap? (in metric please).
Ian Salter
Looks like a good un. BZ40 seems as good a name as any and easy to remember.
FlytrapCare
It looks incredible. What is the size of the biggest trap? (in metric please). Thanks! The largest trap is about 45mm right now. Looks like a good un. BZ40 seems as good a name as any and easy to remember. True, BZ40 is a good enough name, but it's rather boring, don't you think? :)
Malvo
Amazing!! :) Well like you have said it look dangerous so it should be given a cool and sort of menacing name like... Nemesis (with that impressive size it would be the nemesis of allot of insects) Kraken (due to the long leaves, long like tentacles that are trying to reach something from under the soil) Graboid (from the Tremors movie , again the tentacle thing from under the soil) Edit: Just one more from a movie reference... Sandworm (from Dune) Well that's it for now :) Edited April 25, 2013 by Malvo

petesredtraps
Kraken........a great name for what's clearly a great VFT. Deffinitly a plant I'd like in my own collection, the demand for this plant will be high.
