I am a absolute beginner and never thought about using a terrarium indoors.
Now I have to ask a silly question - being a big fan of drosera plants how do they catch insects if the tanks have lids on ?

Simply put... they usually won't. Sometimes the soil gets a springtail infestation, which they can feed on. Some people lightly sprinkle crushed freeze dried bloodworms, or similar freeze dried 'bugs' onto them. Some use a weak liquid fertiliser in the soil. Some just don't bother with feeding them and the plants will survive (though might not thrive).

I also use pulverized freezed dried bloodworms for the sundews, as well as butterworts.
