my binata in my bog outside is not came back this year,it stand for at least 10 years in my bog ,alive all very hard winters and grow all over this bog.Notting came back this year ,not a single offset.
I not know how old this is ,i received some offset ,meaby a offset from a offset.
And i think the offsets are just so old like the motherplant,i not think this are young plants ?
The strange thing is ,i have 4 offsets from this plant in my greenhousse,temp not below 5° but this 4 plants came also not back .
Meaby the plant died because to old? Do some one know how old a D binata can got?
I have no other explanation for this ,all my other binatas on the same spot growing very well ,

I lost mine last year. I was overwintering in a garage. It may have got too cold and/or too dry. I really think that they don't have a lifespan under normal conditions. It is good that you have offshoots, off you go again then. I should have left mine on the windowsill over the winter. I picked up a new plant from a friend a while back.

Mine was around 35 years old, actually older as it was a cutting from liverpool botanic garden from in the days they used to have a fairly decent cp collection. Died last year when it got to -10C, which sucks.

Outside, i doubt it would have made much difference though, it was -10 for several days night and day, things inside the greenhouse were just as frozen solid.
