I have the same problem with some of my plants...
Sometimes they do produce nice traps,
but other times they are all 'curly'.

Usually this type of damage is caused by greenfly or aphids.It can also occur if the soil medium you are using has fertilizer in it.Some peat producing companies do add split bags of fertilized soil/peat to their pure peat to save wasting it or repacking it.

Greenfly most likely cause, I don't remember ever having black fly on Sarracenia, as a precaution spray with systemic insecticide late autumn and early spring to avoid this, don't be tempted to spay in hot weather, unless you have a bad attack, the spay can cause little burn marks on Sarracenia lids, looks like a rash.

Your Problem are Thrips !!!

i have the same Problem on Sarracenia every year in my greenhouse !

you have to spray against sucking insects !
