    Oh, and carnivorous plants....
I've been looking around the local garden centres for orchid bark, but all they seem to offer is orchid compost. Some of my Neps are in need of repotting, and I was wondering if I could just use moss peat, perlite and finely chopped spagnum instead?

Peat and perlite, 20:80 works ok for many species.

Pure sphagnum seems to be a popular way to go, i'm going to try one of mine in this. I usually mix the sphag with perlite and or orchid bark.

I'm with Manders here.... mainly perlite with a dash of moss peat and you can't go wrong.

Unfortunately I don't have enough moss to use it 100% (I'm in the process of growing a good crop) but I'll go the peat/perlite route tomorrow, thanks for the advice
