I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds that a trip to the greenhouse at this time of year can boost jaded souls.

Here's some pictures from mine.

talanagensis, pitcher from a basal. This pitcher is massively bigger than anything the main vine has ever produced. In fact the main vine, which flowered in winter, refuses to produce any pitchers at all now.

It's nice to see some of my seedlings making progress. I wonder what they are going to be when they grow up? I've had about 5 lots of "naga" and each time, I'm getting a different species.
Here's one which just has a nice colour.

Posted Image

macfarlanei (Wistuba.)
After more than 2 years in my care, this has finally produced a tiny pitcher.
I know, I know, but this is the best I can do.

Posted Image

peltata (Wistuba). This is just the most amazing colour, almost neon-organgey-pink. Promising!

Posted Image

petiolata.

Posted Image

flava x sib, and a little flava getting into shot too.

alba- this is the one that Wistuba sells as "gracillima". It's really pretty.

deaniana (Wistuba)
While everyone else yawns, I think this is a great plant... like truncata, this seems to give me an unusually satisfying pitcher: leaf ratio. I'm hoping this one becomes a monster.

I was going to save pictures of EP hybrids for another day, but this one screamed for attention....

Thank you!
N spathulata is a great plant, very easy to grow, fast and big!
I'm hoping "adrianii" and some seedlings I've got of "adrianii" and "red spathulata" will grow up to be just like spathulata but red.....

Very nice looking Neps Gareth. :)
I enter my Neps house with a slight sense of dread to see what has collapsed or fallen over now! Only today found my sprawling vining mini maxima on the floor from the shelf above and knocking over as it went several big Heli!! Which are now in few bits!! :(

cheers

I know the problem. I was too lazy to stake the copelandii, so now it's flopped over everything.
The biggest perils are burbidgeae and truncata x ephippiata; both seem to be throwing out no end of new leaves and huge pitchers, which they insist on placing right on top of small seedlings, maliciously crushing them.  The t x e has had to be put in isolation to curb its bullying tendencies.

Lovely looking plants. It will be interesting to see what that N. naga seedling will develop into, being so dark already. How can you go wrong with copelandii, very elegant pitcher. N. deaniana is certainly nothing to yawn about, looks interesting already.

Christer

First burb pitcher of the year opened yesterday- it's pitifully small. I'm too embarrassed to post a picture.
Hope the next one is a bit better....
