hi guys how do i tell the difference between UTRICULARIA Bisquamata "Betty's Bay" and UTRICULARIA Bisquamata, the reason i am asking is that i have read that to get seed i would need to hand pollinate but my plant which is supposed to be bettys bay has some ripe seed pods . i have not pollinated this plant so wonder if i have been sold a dummy, i will be a bit dissapointed if i have bought myself a weed lol
thanks
dave
ps i can try to get some pics if it would help with an id

the cultivar does not seem to set seed without intervention. but perhaps it was pollinated, quite possible. it may be that the seed pods are another species like subulata mixed in with the bisquamata. if you can post some pics it would be helpful

looks like Betty's Bay to me

are the seed pods on the longer multi-flowered scapes, or are they on shorter scapes singly, by themselves?
