Hi guys,
Just an idea, how about we have a schemne where people can share lifts to the open days and events. For example, I had 2 guys come from Norwich area to my open day where they could have shared the lift and a lot of petrol..

I am willing to offer lifts from the midlands area toward London venues.. Anyone else want to add?

Great Idea Mike.
I'm coming to your October open day from Norfolk and have space for another (already bringing wife and Mattuk, I hope), any where along the A47.

Hi Mike and all

The CPS did run a lift to meetings Idea a few years ago. This was done by The CPS News with phone calls and letters, but this did not last the year.
But as we now have the forum and the Internet it may be time to start this up again?

I hope this does help many who would love to go to meetings.
I know over the years I have had many lifts to meetings by some very kind people ( thanks )
I have also used public transport to meetings.

Well done in bring this idea back Mike

Just thought I'd wake this thread from it's winter slumber :)
Suggestion :- Start early and see other collections as well as the main venue/and share cost of petrol wink.gif

Hope it's not too late but was wondering if anyones travelling to Langy's open day on saturday along the M4 past Cardiff and has room for a carless CP fan. I'll happily chip in for petrol. I could meet you at the petrol station ( by Asdas ) just off the M4 at junction 32.

Please PM if you can help otherwise I'll get there somehow by public transport. Thanks in advance.

Regards Neil

With petrol being so expensive, and the attraction of going to open days, I am offering places in my car if anyone wants picking up in the Telford/ Midlands area and en route to share costs. Open days are the heart and soul of the growing season and is the best way to pick up new plants, meet members and share experiences...!

I am definately going in 2008 to the following open days:

31st of May P&J Plants (meet at my house)
21st June Stephen Morley's
28th June Alan at Southport

I will finalise August and later venues what I will be attending in the next few weeks.

Please email me or send a PM if interested.
