Wow... very sorry to hear this. I think will be difficult to track this plant unless the thieft tries to sold it. If he is just a "maniac CP collector" he just will keep the plant in his house without sharing pictures of it.
Is very worring somebody sneaks in your property... the onky strange thing is he (or she) didn´t stole the parent plant inestead only the cutting...
Good look, I wish you find the culprit.

Can I just ask, out of curiosity when I'm sure I've mastered growing Cephs, how much would a leaf cutting like that cost?

currently selling for £75, but most Cephs would be £5-£10 at that size

This is indeed disgusting news. a few have already wondered why only the one small cutting was taken. My theory is, this is someone who knows you, and they've tried to ease their own conscience by thinking " I'll just take that, he might not even miss it ". That's my theory, whatever, they are still a theif.

I put on my detective hat in a bout of insomnia and have finally deduced the culprit.

Tada

Tongue in cheek humour. I stumbled on your post asking how much to charge. I was indicating you stole your own plant. Bad taste I know. My bad.

ahem....cough....it seems that my plant was not stolen after all....very embarassed...:red33:

it seems that the plant died, and I moved it out of the greenhouse without realising what plant it was or reading the label...so yes it did  vanish from the greenhopuse but it was my own doing...found it outside today.

I plead temporary insanity...

Haha. Oh well I know it's a case of either way the plant is gone but at least you can feel safer. I'd imagine the thought of someone being around gave you the creeps somewhat.

Today my insanity arose when potting the vft's from Ian & Dianne.  My mixing container had some rain water in it and in a codeine induced daze I still added my peat and sand and wondered why I couldn't use the dirty soup!

I knew it! Stephen's been caught red handed having removed the plant from his own greenhouse! It's elementary my dear Watson. :tease:
