Now that it's officially summer, I'm hoping the sun will stick around for awhile. My semi-tropical plants are barely growing and I plant them for their stature. Every fall I drag in my Caladiums, Cannas and Elephant Ears and every spring I pot them up to get a head start. This year, it hasn't made a difference. I know that once the temperature warms, they'll shoot up. I just have to be patient. If you haven't included any in your garden yet, there's still time to plant a few. They're great in pots or right in the ground. If your growing zone is not quite a tropical paradise, like mine, you can overwinter all these plants indoors.
