Sorry if this is in the wrong place!
Thought id post some pictures up. I know that some are not VFT's but didnt see the point of creating two topics. Maybe someone could advice on my D.Capensis to, leaves seem to be curling up even with no prey.
My Typical (nice looking typical ill give it that, it was bought unlabled from a garden centre)

I had an accident with one of my large typical VFT's, when I say I , I mean my cat had an accident and knocked it over, somehow avoiding all others, ah well they needed repotted anyway, currently looking very sad and limp so will post photos of them when health returns, nothing exicting, just typicals.

To be frank your capensis is looking great.  The one leaf I see 'typically' curled has a fly.  I'm envious of how red your 'red' has got given the weather as mine is looking like a regular capensis at the moment.  Unless you grow yours under lights that is (do you?).

Ive only had it for around 2 months now, its been a pretty intense red since day 1 . I dont think it looks as red in real life as in the photo, just the way its been captured by the camera (It was shot in RAW and the colors were processed by Lighroom as it deems the colours should be taking in the lighting and everything else)
Its kept in a north facing conservatory which has bright light all day, direct sunlight through the glass for a few hours, but whenever im home and the weathers nice they are out the back enjoying full sunshine all day.
3 weeks ago for instance they were outside for about a week straight during that heatwave we had.

Just seems that a lot of the leaves are curling , it could just be new growth though ?

Just checked on them outside, the Typical, Spider and the Capensis have all cought a meal sitting outside on the decking!

Thanks :)
As I said before, ive not had it very long and it was an intense red when I recieved it (from littleshopofhorrors). Since ive had it, it has been kept in a bright north facing conservatory and left out in direct sunlight when the oppertunity arises.
I dont know if littleshopofhorrors keep them grown under lights or whether its natural light, but it was an intense red on arrival.

Ill wait until next season to see what color comparison can be made between my care and the care from the nursery.
There is another 2 small dews growing in the container, one red and one that looks like a normal d.capensis. Will split them out when in few months.
