cut leaf or pull out from stem?

When a vft trap and leaf is dying do you cut it off close to the stem or pull it off at the stem? cheers.

I cut mine, if you pull it you can sometimes uproot the whole plant!

jeez ive just pulled two of mine from the stem but the it didnt uproot they came straight of. it wont damage the plant will it? thanks

Its fine to pull them from the rhizome. If a leaf is being stubborn or a plant is not so well rooted then i pinch the base of the plant with my other hand supporting it as i pull.
