Many species ofnepenthes seem to have forms with reddish leaves, and sometimes the compost they are in makes them turn reddish, but in this case its just as likely that what you have is a hybrid between sanguinea and ramispina or some other dark species, they were quite common last year in B&Q for example, a photo might help.  Where was the plant from?

If it was from Hampshire Carnivorous plants then it will be a sanguinea, just one that has received plenty of light. If you want to know more about this particular variety you could always email them and see what further information they could give you.

I recently got two sanguineas (one for me and one for work).  Both have dark pigment in leaves, which are mostly green.

Hello :)

I have a nepenthes sanguinea and a ramispina. My sanguinea had redleaves because my lightning was too high. Now my lightning is less powerfull so the leaves are green, and the pitchers still red. From my observations, if the pitchers have nice bloodred color and the leaves green, the lightning is perfect.

..But im not a nepenthes expert!
