Unknown houseplnt...please help identify!?

Hi there. My partner and I were given this plant as a present at our civil partnership. It came with no label or details as to what the plant is so we really don't know where to keep her!! Any help advising us exactly WHAT she is would be very gratefully received!!

Its tropical and this pic shows its natural habitat. Looks like a forest floor.

I would guess at warm, humid with partial shade.
may be bathroom window or greenhouse in summer with some shelter from direct light. Other windows that receive some but not full sun, however not sure how dry  central heating would affect it in winter. You may need to mist it or use a gravel tray. But Ive not grown it, it could be tough as old boots. Then again I think I did see one in an office I once worked in and its leaves were droping off possibly due to dryness or insufficient light, (it was in the centre of the room)
