It's an rare enough hybrid that often carries a high price tag.  I saw it on there a few days ago but it was only £14 at the time.

It does seem to be quite a slow grower so divisions will be rare. I expect the price will go a little higher yet

Some people just don't seem to understand  that its ok to make some money out of selling plants  or the law of supply and demand  :wall3:

As has been said on here before, a plant, or any other object for that matter, is worth however much someone is willing to pay for it. The starting price was 99p, so the selling price is being driven by the buyers, who eventually thought it was worth £206.99 to them.

I was following three ebay auctions that ended today:

S. flav
a Goldie, went for £139,99
S. 'Adrian Slack' went for £206,99
S. Apricot, John Ainsworth, went for
£264,99

Ha, either that, or some people REALLY hit the jackpot and don't care how much they have to pay :)

I can't understand why people throw huge amounts of money at this clone. I sell it for a maximum of £30 (Adrian Slack) and usually sell around 14 plants a year..The simple thing is to be patient and the plant will become available...I have more than 20 mother plants and it is extremely vigorous.

I bought a 'Goldie' a few years ago for £20 which I thought was just about right. I wouldn't have paid any more.

I'm happy to wait a few years because we all know what is 'rare' today will be common in several years time and think of how much money we've saved !!

That is only because you made me an offer for a piece at the time. You could have paid £200 for one on ebay just recently if you wanted.

But if you're a collector, and you've got the bug, waiting isn't an option.
