I keep finding aphid shells now en then these past few weeks. The thing is I keep finding one sporadic shell a week.
I keep my Cephalotus on a window still, so aphids are rare. It rather disturbs me that after inspection of my plants I can’t find any aphids visible.
The plants also do not show sign of infection. I know an aphid like young shoots/leafs, but even these show no aphids or distress.
I have had scaling insects in the past and had great success with insecticide containing ‘thiacloprid’. So if I really have an aphid infection I probably use it.
But should I first wait for visible aphids or use this insecticide as a prophylaxis?
My concern is that I don’t know if I really have an aphid infection and if so which plants are affected.

Advice would be welcome.

I'd spray as a precaution.  Avoids deformed pitchers.

Provado is usually very effective against aphids and very safe to use.
