Finally, after 3 or 4 years of patiently waiting, my seed grown P. grandiflora ssp rosea is finally about to flower:

I don't see this plant that often, and I've personally never seen one flower in the flesh!

I'm strangely excited about this plant flowering!! So I'll update with a photo of the flower/s when it/they open.

I see there's a little plant growing underneath too, probably from last year's gemmae, so perhaps you're right Ada!

Andy,when its dormant make sure to remove any gemmae from around the mother plant.If you don't,sometimes the mother plant will rot and you'll only be left with small gemmae again.

There's nothing like the feeling of growing your own plants Andy and seeing them flower.
