P. vulgaris

This is the first time my temperate pings have flowered. My mexican pings have flowered before as well. I honestly think that butterworts have the nicest flowers of all cp's. But, most of the time they're definitely not that interesting :P Hope you enjoyed my pictures!

I agree that they are among the nicest CP flowers.  Some Utrics have great flowers too, and Byblis, and Drosophyllum...

Great plants, thanks for sharing!

The last one is not a vulgaris but rather a caussensis.

Congratulations for flowers! I like temperate pings even if they're not in flower - I can't tell why but they are nice
I am looking forward to see your grandiflora subsp. rosea in flower    Nice pics by the way...

Thanks guys! Miloslav, I'll post the pics of the rosea in a couple weeks, it should look very nice I think.

"The last one is not a vulgaris but rather a caussensis. " --> Are you sure? The seeds said P. vulgaris when I bought them. For comparison, see P. longifolia ssp causensis from Eric Partrat http://www.pinguicul..._caussensis.htm
The angle I took the picture at might be why it looks like a causensis.

Cheers, Mauro

For having seen this species in its habitat, it is a really polymorphic species. The photos from Eric's website are only representing a small quantity of variation.
