got my first Heliamphora nutans x heterodoxa a few weeks ago and it had a little fungus on some of the dead leaf stumps, i wiped it off and removed all dead pitchers, now it has returned. i have some bcuzz bio defence which is a 'plant reinforcer against vermin and fungi attack', has anyone used this successfully on heliamphora? i contacted the company that i bought the Heli from and they recommended to wipe off the infection and then treat plant with rovral, if the stuff i've got is no good does anyone know where i can get rovral from or another fungicide that is easy to source and ok to use on heliamphora.

Tried a 1ml b'cuzz bio defense part 1 and 2 per litre of water. parts 1 and 2 are mixed separately 1ml bio defense to 1 litre water then mixed the 2 litres of solution together and sprayed it on my heliamphora nutans x heterodoxa. the fungus hasn't returned yet and the bio defense hasn't harmed it either, i've lost some of the smaller growth but the 2 largest growth points are still alive and some new growth points are emerging as well. so looking up at the moment.

I bought a lovely plant (same hybrid) last spring and in late autumn I had to remove half the plant as it shrivelled and rotted with fungus. I couldn't even get a fungicide at the time as Ireland is so backwards. I lost the plant to further fungus.
I had some white powdery fungus on my Cephalotus and was wiping it off. Worried for the plant I finally managed to track down Fungus Clear. That did the trick.
I just get so frustrated about trying to get basic supplies (including perlite and vermiculite) from garden centres these days. Over here they're all turning over most of their indoor space to home ware, bbq's and women's fashion. And they rebrand as home living. Irks the hell outta me.

Hi richard, if you can't get supplies at the garden centres, why not try a hydroponics shop the perlite and vermiculite should be much cheaper and available in large 100 litre bags which should last a while.
