I was wondering people's experience with growing tomatoes in the same (unheated) greenhouse as CP's?  Is ethylene from the ripening fruit an issue to the plants?

Regards
Richard

    Oh, and carnivorous plants....
Last year my CPs were sharing greenhouse space with several tomato plants, and they didn't seem to mind at all.

Apart from the space issue, I too have seen no problems. Don't let your tomatoes get too crazy though, they are capable of blocking out the sun   :moderator:

The 6x8 greenhouse will run (from door) south to north.  The tomatoes will go on the north (wall side). There they'll still get good sun and possibly extra heat from the wall.  I'm planting a jasmine there too.

I hope that's true.  I'm going to be growing peppers in the same area as my CPs.  Of course, I never thought that it would have been a problem to begin with.

    Getting a better Sarracenia collection.
My mum's decided my greenhouse is the best place to start Peas, Tomatoes, Carrots, Broad Beans... etc etc.

Trev.... how big? :D

I have a 30' x 10' glasshouse and a 26' x 15' polly-tunnel, half the tunnel is empty...

Don't you mean feet, not inches? :P

I would love to have a garden big enough for those, and the greenhouse would be a bonus! :D

I'm another that's always grown the CPs in with toms (peppers, cucumbers, melons too) and never had any problems at all.  The humidity from the CPs may even help the toms set and keep red spider mite down  :sun_bespectacled:
