The National Cherry Blossom Festival started this week, in Washington, D.C. It's the centennial year for this beautiful event. Yes, it's been 100 years since Japan sent D.C. 3,000 ornamental cherry trees. This year, the festival runs from March 20 - April 27, but with the warm temperatures on the east coast, blooming peaked on the 1st day.
