Stunning plants! I note that you live in Florence. How do you keep temperatures sufficiently low for your highlanders and S American Drosera in summer?

Cheers,

Greg

Thank you.
In summer I have a small cooling system that drops the temperature of 4-5 ° at night. I keep it on for two hours during the night (T about 15-30°). In winter I have 10-20° without it.

Very nice!! :)

Congrats,
Fernando

P.S. It's either D.tomentosa var.tomentosa or var.glabrata - not f.glabrata. And regarding schwackei, see this....

Thank you Fernando.
I kept the names, they have given to me.
So D. montana var. schwackei => D. schwackei
Drosera montana var. tomentosa f. glabrata => D. tomentosa var. glabrata, right ? :)

The cooling system sounds interesting and clearly works well. How does it work?

Cheers,

Greg

You got it! ;)

And hopefully you'll see another article soon about the D.montana-tomentosa complex, including a new species...

Best wishes,
Fernando

@Greg: is a simple mini-fridge connected to the terrarium. The terrarium is very small(35x20xh35) and dedicated only to South American Drosera :)

@Fernando: Excellent !!! I'm looking forward to reading it :)
