I noticed an odd thing with my longifolia, i have one piece in a conservatory where it does fine all year Another piece is in a greenhouse with ~10C minimum but this one has all but dissapeared. I know they can go dormant if dry and i overwintered one like that several years ago, but does the cold alone make them dormant? If theyre cold and wet will it survive or does it need a cold dry dormancy? Anybody grown them in those conditions?

my plants go dormant with 5c minimum but do not thrive, they grew much better when they were heated to 10c min.

Longifolia seems to do a bit better with a bit of a rest. It seems to come back stronger.
