[Carnivine]

I have some Sarracenia and Darlingtonia seeds to set. However, I have never grown these from seed before so what I need to know is - well, everything really lol.

1) When do I sow the seeds
2) Do I use general cp compost
3) Do the seeds need covering withy a layer of compost, sand etc
4) Anything else I may need to know lol

Thanks in advance for any info that comes forward

4) Anything else I may need to know lol just sow, put outside in the greenhouse or a coldframe, in a water tray, and forget, will sprout in spring

Just remember the seeds are light, so don't sneeze on them or try to move a sown tray in windy weather!

I would consider putting just peat moss on the top of the pot, in order to avoid seedlings developing outside the soil

I'm dreaming about wonderful hybrids for the next years...I'm doing my best for that!!! XD

Got leucos, oreophilas, and some nice hybrids to sow. Nice and easy for this year

ahahahha Yep, there were two crosses of mine, where I only got 2 (two) seeds from both, so I put them into the same pot, being two very different crosses!!

Well, I had my seeds in the fridge over christmas for around 6 weeks, and set them in early January. To date, nothing has happened, not a thing. Am I being impatient or should they have started to sprout by now?

You're a bit early yet. I can't remember when my seeds germinated last year, but I'd be surprised to see anything before April. None of my seeds this year has sprouted yet either. Be patient

What conditions are they planted in? Too early for germination if they're in a cool greenhouse

Way too early for up here,look at the end of april or early may,unless it stays mild.Then they could be a bit earlier if in a greenhouse.

Thanks for the advice. They are actually in a cool greenhouse so I will wait and be patient lol.
