Hello,
I'v been thinking about giving these plants a try next year. My plan is to keep them in an unheated greenhouse, but how do I do when the winter approach?
Are there some hardy species that survive freeze, or must they be kept at warmer temperatures?

it depends on the genus and species. many Arisaema for example prefer frost free. there are lots of hardy aroids too.

My bad Stephen, I forgot to specify that i meant species from the Amorphophallus genus.

I only grow A.konjac and A.bulbifer from this genus. A.konjac needs to be kept dry and frost-free. A.bulbifer not so sure, still young seedlings, I suspect a bit warmer...

I dig my Konjacs up in fall before first frost and dry and clean them off. They get stored indoors in a cool place. No need to cover them with anything, just sit them on a shelf/table!
GREAT plants!
This I dug up a few weeks ago, it was tennis ball sized when I planted it this past spring:

Thanks for your advises!
Seems like the winterstorage ain't that big of a problem then :)
I quess I will give them a try next season then. Whats the best place to get hold of some?
I read in the other threads it's quite common on ebay.
