Hi to all!
I bought few utrics near week ago, but the first that shows some growth in one pot is it:

Could it be Drosera binata? When it can be replaced into other pot (how many leaves it need to have)?
And I had a question about it dormancy, but there is fresh topic about this.

Its definetly in the binata complex.Just dig it up with a pair of tweezers and transplant it.

I have question about Drosera cistiflora.

Is it not too late to plant it this year?

Do you cover the pot with glass to keep humidity, when you are sowing gemmae?

Glass?Just put gemmae on soil surface and set pots in trays of water

Few plants got "black heads" like one on the photo (I'm sorry for not good quality). Should they be taken out and what could be a cause of this problem?

I'd say the same. Let it grow a bit more, post a pic once the leaves have grown longer, then we can say for sure.

Thanks for reply. Will see what is it.

My first attempt to grow filiformis wasn't quite successful - there only one piece of leaf was alive. I put it into water and now there new plant is growing.



When can it be planted into pot how do you think?

And announced question about pygmy droseras. Is citrina went into dormancy and should be kept dry or it just is in bad conditions?(comparing to pulchella). And when do usually pygmies bloom?

Strange thing - when i replaced citrina from sun it started show some growth, new leaves appeared...

What can it mean?

And my small piece of filiformis shows some growth

Hi Oleksii,

my D. pulchella are currently in the middle of their flowering season. Your plants seem to be not large enough at the moment, so I would expect flowers next year in the worst case (maybe, there will be some by the end of summer).

Dieter, I hope I'll see flowers of my pygmy Drosera, but will see...

I have few seedlings of D. indica

Is it normal that they are a bit yellowish? Are the ready to be fed - I read in one topic, that they need to be fed very quickly. Is peptone powder suitable for this?

Hi!

It's me again!

My indica still the same, I replaced them to place with direct sun, but they don't show any growth.

And one more: is it normal that my Drosera 'Marston Dragon' don't grow vertical leaves? And also it doesn't have bifurcated leaves (like  here)- is it too young?

And does this hybrid of binata need the dormancy? I have read that there different requirements for different forms

I'm not sure about the indica as I've never grown it.  It's usual for Marston Dragon to hang over the pot like that but I'm not sure if it should NOT fork when young.  Can I ask where did you get it?
