They really are magnificent! I have a friend in Durban who has got several massive plants like the ones depicted on your blog.
But his are all on exotic trees and palms, it looks strange to see one growing on such an ordinary species as a pine! I have a few, but they are all still fairly small. I am not keen to plant them out, because I will never be able to take them with when we leave this house.
As always your pics of species in the wild are awesome, thanks for posting!
