Hi all,
i am growing a plant with the location "Ciparados De Serra", but can't find that place in the internet. Can somebody please tell me if there really is a place like "Ciparados De Serra"? I can't find anything with this name and so i think, there must be something wrong (or am i just blind?).

May be it´s Aparados da Serra

I'm not aware of this location but I had something similar with a U. longifolia I acquired a few months back. It is supposed to be from Catotes, Brazil. However, I cannot find reference to this location anywhere. Interestingly, this plant grows much larger than any of my others in the same conditions.
If anyone reading this thread knows of Catotes. BR, please share the info...

No idea about the U. tridentata, but I am growing a form of U. longifolia that is labelled as originating from Catoles, Brazil.

Hi people,
the people change the names and make a big confusion with brazilian plant locations.
Catolés is a city in the Chapada Diamantina Region, in Bahia State:

Aparados da Serra is a national park in southern Brazil (have a beautiful canyons):

Catolés is a small "village" in the municipality of Piatã or Rio de Contas (can't remember now). This is where I found in 2005 the largest U.longifolia ever recorded, see this link:

Thus, I am not surprised that your plants are larger. :)
And yes, U.tridentata from Aparados da Serra is another one of my collections.
Best wishes,
Fernando
