Well done Andy for getting the forum back to normal  I'm glad to see that the CPUK skin is back too, it is the classiest skin of all the CP forums.

Oh no! My avatar is back to the cropped format again. This is a shame.

Hi,

That's because of the size and ratio of the avatar. Currently it is 167x140px, but the forums avatar requirements are 100x100px, so it is cropping it to fit. If you crop it yourself to 100x100px and upload it then it should work ok. I've attached a cropped version to this post, if you click on it then you should get a pop-up with a 'save' option, which if clicked will result in a new tag where you can right click on the image to save it. If you want to use it you simply need to either save it on your computer or a picture hosting site then upload it by going to Profile>Edit my Profile>Change Avatar.

I see that using IP Board rather than CPUK Board the avatar's are not cropped.

I think that the IP Board skin resizes the image, with no respect to aspect ratio. In the case of Kiwi Earl's avatar this means that the Kiwi is taller and thinner than it's supposed to be. The CPUK skin appears to crop the image to 100x100px, so anything outside of this will not be displayed.

Many thanks for the advice Carl. Overcoming a bout of laziness has sorted out my avatar.

Got an Error message when clicked on your link however. No sweat though, just resized at my end.

You may be aware we have had major server problems. Disc drives failed, backup files got corrupt and god knows what else. The forum was just about rebuilt from a backup but somethings are missing, like PM's which will not be replaced. There are loads of other problems, some I know about and some I don't. At the moment I do not have internet at home because of a BT fault, just to add to my problems!!!. Things will just have to stay the way they are until I can try and fix them, if I ever can. If we have anymore of these huge problems I don't know if the I can continue putting things right.
