You may be aware we have had major server problems. Disc drives failed, backup files got corrupt and god knows what else. The forum was just about rebuilt from a backup but somethings are missing, like PM's which will not be replaced. There are loads of other problems, some I know about and some I don't. At the moment I do not have internet at home because of a BT fault, just to add to my problems!!!. Things will just have to stay the way they are until I can try and fix them, if I ever can. If we have anymore of these huge problems I don't know if the I can continue putting things right.

Andy,

It must be devastating when such a catastrophic failure happens and I would guess it takes a lot of work to repair it, so I would like to personally thank you for all the time and effort you put into keeping this wonderful forum running. Is there anything that I or others can do to help with fixing this?

    Oh, and carnivorous plants....
Thanks for all the hard work you've put in to repairing the damage Andy, you've done stirling work getting the forum back up and running again :good2:

As for the missing PM's and posts, we'll just put up with that little inconvenience, it's a small price to pay for such a great site

Thanks for keeping the forum going and getting it up and running again, really missed it when it was down and appreciate all efforts to get it back up going again, as others have said if there is anything we can do to help just ask.

Just another vote of thanks Andy for all your time and work in keeping the forum going for us all.
It's more appreciated that you might think- not only from regular posters, but also from all those people who learn from all the experiences that have been shared here.

Excellent forum- best on the net Andy. And sterling work from you to get it back on line so quickly despite all the problems you have/are encountering. With the loss of the PM's perhaps more people might use the e-mail option!!

cheers

Thanks for all your work Andy. I find CPUK to be a tremendous asset and always enjoy engaging with it. I echo the previous comments about the PMs - no big deal.

One happy outcome is that my avatar has returned to its original dimensions.

I'm sure many of us, me included, just take for granted that this Forum will always be here and it just runs itself! We have no idea what goes on behind the scenes so a massive thanks for all the work that goes on unrewarded. Best CP Forum......hands down!

Thanks for the support

I'm hoping most things are back to normal again now.

PM's that were lost can not be retrieved so sorry about that.

Some of the data for the members map was lost. This isn't too much of a problem, just add your location again.

Thanks again for sticking with CPUK :thumright:
