Advise required on Stapelia cultivation

Hi,

I have had  a Stapelia for some time and whilst it has grown, it has not grown as well as I would like. I'm not sure that the soil that I have it in is ideal, so could someone please suggest a suitable mix. Plus, could someone please give me some general cultivation advise on this species?
