While I would like to say from Sunny & Warm California our past few weeks have been filled with dreary, cold, windy, and rainy days.
Not really my cup of tea but apart from the wind it is great for the mosses I grow. What surprises me is that the two overcrowded pots of Heliamphora minor which I am growing outside in full sun seem none the worst despite the shivering temps.
Besides Heliamphora I currently grow Darlingtonia and a Sarrencia psittacina and a couple of VFT, all outside in
partial shade.
I hope to be getting some Sarrencia purpurea to grow later this year as it is my favorite Sarrencia.
Heliamphora has got to be my most favorite of carnivorous plants with Darlingtonia a close second.
Been growing them for about 5 years. My method is somewhat unorthodox as I use a drip system on the
Darlingtonia and the Heliamphora.
Besides the carnivorous plants and the mosses, I like club mosses and am growing some native American Selaginella species and trying to master pot culture for Lycopodium obscurum.
I have been growing plants in pots since around 1961, mostly California natives.
Music and reading are other interests.
