Hi everyone,

I'm getting back into CPs after a forced absence from my plants that were stranded 500 miles away at my in-laws. I've got them and the greenhouse at home now, but they're in quite a mess. I'm coming back to the world of CPs with renewed enthusiasm though, so I'm looking forward to browsing the boards here.

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

I think this weekend I might find out the true state of my plants, now its not about -5C in the sun! I might have lost about half of them, but that's ok, as the rest seem to have done pretty well and when divided will easily fill the space the losses leave behind!

After some time in the greenhouse it looks like I have lost more than half the plants. I have no VFTs or cobra lilies left and most of my smaller sundews have died, although the big pots of d. binata seem to be in good shape.

On the plus side, survival of the fittest seems to be the order of things among the sarracenia, and the survivors are breaking their way out of their pots with growth! I have four big trays of sarracenia that should expand into more than ten

Welcome, at least you shouldn't run short of water, you seem to get more than your fair share over the last couple of years.

Good luck nursing them all back to health.

And we have lovely soft water that we can use straight out of the tap

I've spent the past few hours dividing my pitchers. Lots of big sarracenias have survived well, I have lots of Maximas, Brooke's Hybrids and leucos so far. I'm about to start on the alatas and other flavas. Here's hoping they do so well....
