Hi, just wondering about the moss growing on your bogs. Do you have to remove any at all to promote new growth of plants? Or do they grow through the moss without any problems? Many thanks, Ben

I'm wondering... Is the water from the pond in contact with the bog or does the bog stand on its own? If its in contact with the pond, is it pure rainwater or a bit alkaline?

thanks once more for the nice comments, i think i can post up-to-date pics within a short time. The plants are sprouting out at the moment.

The plants grow through the moss without any problems. Only small Drosera like D. intermedia, D. anglica and so on must be observed to avoid overgrowing.
But something happened with the sphagnum moss - since the end of the last winter/dormancy it looks dry and odd.

No, the pond is not in contact with the bog, but the bog is watered with the water from the pond. The water there is very nutrient- and lime-poor, it is cleared by a biological clarification plant.
