This a plant I got from the Euroflora open day. It was just labelled "Venus Fly Trap" so I call it "Massive Red Traps"!

The ruler should be in front of the plant, and transparant.
Secondly, are you realy renaming your plant as "Massive Red Traps" ?

My largest is a 4.1cm SWG. The trap has not even opened yet, so it may still grow a bit...  :whistling:

Trev, it's a Slack's Giant.

All my Dionaeas sulked last year when I repotted them into a sand/peat mix and the roots basically burnt off. The sand must of contained minerals. I re-repotted them and they're looking better this year though.

Hi all,

Here a trap of South West Giant: it's a little black but Trev told me it was acceptable and, even, never picture of a trap measuring 5 cm had not been shown. It's done  :clapping:

I didn't take picture before today because I had done it this summer… with a larger trap of my GC4 clone! But the trap was closed around the rule (one sees the other lobe against the light) and not behind: rejected picture. The trap is dry now, which reduces the size…  :clapping:
As you can see it, the trap measured 5.15 cm!

Holy cow!  Those are some enormous traps!  I thought mine were big, but they pale in comparison to these!
