Hi All,

One of Drosophyllum seeds germinated,

Two weeks after germination


Three weeks after germination


Three weeks after germination


So now I am wondering if you think it is getting enough light, there is some red but I'm not sure that means anything.
I facing west but there is no direct sun because it is always cloudy this time of year.
I don't have any space on the east or south side that will work for keeping my plants, so I might have to move it to artificial light.
What do you think?

I see no problem adding or switching to artificial lighting.... but maybe down the road a bit. This species is touchy so as long as it seems reasonably happy, I wouldn't mess with it for now.  Just don't uproot the plant or keep too moist.

Does anyone know how cold hardy Drosophyllum is?

A larger Drosophyllum plant will happily survive several degrees of frost.

I don't suppose my seedling would survive about a week of 20 degree Fahrenheit weather?
Because it's cold around here and the forecast says it is going to stay like that for a week.

They really show displeasure when being transplanted. Whatever you do... don't do much tinkering. They're also prone to damp-off when they are seedlings.
