As you probably know i live in Scotland and i grow my CP's in a greenhouse.
What is the lowest temperature to keep my CP's at? I always worry about dormancy!!

Taywf1234, that depends on what kind of CPs you're talking about. :) Some do not tolerate temps below freezing at all, others are more hardy.

Keep yourself warm, eat well and take plenty fluids.
You should get through the winter ok  :wink:

This doesn't seem to make sense to me.  (True) dormancy is a natural occurence for temperate plants and is to be welcomed, not worried about.  This means that ALL saracenia and VFTs, along with many drosera and pings need a cold spell in which they can go dormant in order to remain healthy long-term. For these plants, you don't need to losa any sleep over a minimum temperature, they'll be fine in your greenhouse.

Plants which grow in subtropical or tropical climates (eg, nepenthes) don't experience dormancy, and so will suffer if the temperature drops below a certain critical level, dependant on species.

Just to chime in here, I haven't got the luxury owning a greenhouse  :wink: , and my plants are on my balcony.
I'm just hoping temperatures won't drop too severely for my dormancy-requiering plants. .oh well, natural selection it will be.
