Hi there, well, it's a long way from winter, but I'd like to inform myself rather too soon than too late.
If you click on the given link below, you can see the average monthly temperatures in Basel/Switzerland, where I live.
Now, my question is: The CPs that require a dormancy period, do you think I can just leave them outside on my balcony in the winter time? (I neither have a greenhouse nor a garage..)
Thanks a lot!

Oh, one more question. From what age on do the CPs need a dormancy period? And is there a difference between VFTs and Sarracenias?

Plants that need a dormancy can stand those temperatures with ease, but some of them don't like frost directly on their leaves which can damage them although it doesn't matter if the pot freezes. It would be easier if we knew just what plants you have

I've read that one or two year old dormancy-requiering plants should not be kept outside in the wintertime.
Now, my winters don't get all that cold, as stated above, can I keep my young plants outside, even when it gets cold? Thanks.
