More or less any garden centre, they usually stock a range of both heated and unheated models in various sizes.
Tacca chantrieri and Tacca nivea seed is available from Thompson & Morgan. In T&M's words they are considered "challenging" to raise from seed.

Hi dan,
I tried with 8 Tacca Chantrieri seeds last August: three of them have germinated after three weeks (I lost 1 seedling
the others? I'm still waiting (I Know they could take even 9 months...)
I hope they germinate for you!

You are best with either soil warmings cables or heat mat with thermostats. These products like wards are total rubbish to buy. You can also make your own to the size you want. Soil warming cables or heat mat with thermostats will last longer than these set units and you can replace parts easy and cheaper. Robert Smith

wow great advice there thanks, i think i shall go for the soil warming cables.
isnt the problem with tham that u need to buy the cable (£19.75 form TW) and then u need to buy a thermostat? dont these things work out more expenive?
