I've just realised that I've spent the last 12 months telling people I'm 36 when in fact I was 35. I can now safely say that I am now 36 but might need reminding occasionally.

Dad passed away peacefully just before 7am this morning with his family around his bed. Heartbroken but relieved for him. The last thing he did was listen to a recording of me singing.

Dad has gone downhill fast in the last 24 hours. We had to go to him nearly every hour last night as his pain levels have changed so fast, and that's with his medications being doubled too.

Lovely evensong tonight in Marazion. While I'm over I think I may do a special music course for priests as tonight he got through on the seat of his pants.
