Pinguicula going not growing at all??

Hello, i am keeping a pinguicula agnata x gypsicola . It was growing really fast and happily until my light broke down and i had to move it to a warmer spot. Since then, its leafs became pale and the whole plant shrunk and became grew into a ball??? I dont know how to describe it but it just grew and its leafs are all curled up to its growth point, i have moved it back to the same condition as it was growing but it did not do anything and the plants still isnt growing for almost a month...Is it going dormant or what?

I live in a country where its summer all year long and i havnt experienced any of my plants going dormant, if it is what should i do?

Edit: I used to find some slugs in the plant's medium last time for some reason but the plant was still growing really well, uncomfortable, i reported the plant but still found a slug crawling over the medium so i repotted it again, this didnt slow down its growth it only did until i moved it to a warmer spot and since then, its sulking and now growing at all now. Not sure if this info has any help though, i dont find any slugs now, maybe snails in my other pinguicula's pot but i dont think they would do much damage to the plants. My medium is just a mixture of volcanic sand, crushed coral, a bunch of different volcanic sands, perlite, vermiculite and probably around 30% peat.

Perhaps your "warmer" spot was too warm and shocked into dormancy.  I don't grow this hybrid but gypsicola can get "stuck" in dormancy for no apparent reason. Got any pictures?

Are you sure it was growing OK under the lights?  Just made me think about 3 P agnata pots I have which have grown deformed leaves this summer, I don't know for sure what caused it but assumed it might be down to using an LED light for the first time.  No other plants affected just 3 separate agnatas.  As yours is agnata hybrid maybe maybe this species just doesn't like the extra light.

Here is the progress of when i first obtained the plant, in the course of around 2 month of growth, it put out new leaves probably every 3 days or so, now its just one round ball and refuses to grow XD, Last link is the latest picture of the plant. You can see the plant's older leaves are drying up, and the plant basically turned stiff and its leaves are all bent...No idea whats going on.

  • 1 month later...

Hello, its been over a month and i just checked on the plant, it looked so weird, like it has split into 2 growth points? But its still shut and i just repotted it again into equal parts of vermiculite, peat, perlite, volcanic sand, volcanic rock and crushed coral. Heres the picture, sorry bout the blurry image.

Hello Stephen,

I doubt it is a mite problem because i repotted the plant and non of my plants ever had a mite problem. Im not sure if it went dormant because the leaves i can still see dews... I only have one of this species, i cant throw it away XD
