Guttata
Hi everyone, I used to have a really beautiful and good grower N. Albo red. But since few months the poor one is in bad shape.- reduce to very small leaves- no sign of the "trap" even the first phase on a newly formed Leaf. Few informations :- Plants are in my home made terrarium green wall- Temperature in winter : ~20/22 celsius degrees- hygro: 90/100% - Simple winter grow break due to lower temp / natural light ?- Mother plant Grow break due to the reject of a new baby plant ?- I tried for the first Time fertilizing with diluted orchid product. Side effectue of the operation ? Thanks for you PS : Topic of the tank setup and pictures of plants on a french forum : http://www.forumcarnivore.org/viewtopic.php?t=25324
manders
is it from Wistubas?, ive never been able to grow the red one, prone to root rot, i think it needs warm temperatures 24C+ and very good light. I have a grey/green one which grows as a highlander with no problems.

bux
I agree with manders about the temps. Also it does not like to be kept always moist. My red clone grows better during summer when i have flies available for feeding pitchers. Fertilizing works fine if given as foliar spray (i use Orchid focus) Fabrice
Guttata
Hi Fabrice, thanks for the reply. I put the orchid focus (diluted) directly inside the trap.To avoid for the next Time ?Envoyé de mon iPad en utilisant Tapatalk
bux
Quote To avoid for the next Time ? It works also in this way if diluted. Do not use strong fertilizer - like Osmocote - to feed the pitchers, the latter would die back fast and you may have a fungi attack on the plants. Guttata
Hi everyone, I think i know what the problem is. At the top of the tank, i got a madagascariensis that is infected by mealy bugs. I treated it with a biological spray of black soap. VERY BAD IDEA !!!! The mada stops to grow, apex die and the plant finally starts again growing from multiple internodes. Same behavior for the plant aside (N. reinwardtiana green) and the plant below (N. albo). I thing boths plant get (ind)directly sprayed by the black soap ! Anyone as similar bad experience ?
