David Manning
What would be the best type of pot to transplant into. Half pots or full depth ? I am thinking of next season already and the plants I have already in full depth pots just do not look right. A bit dry on the top if anything. Although the plants look heathy enough. Thanks in advance. Dave
linuxman
I've never had any trouble with full depth pots. Remember sarras have long roots. I use 13cm size pots.
David Manning
Many thanks for that. Have to get a few pots ready for next season. Dave
AAJ
I use full depth pots but square ones, fit nicely together to save space. You can get small ones in a nursery or larger ones online.
billynomates666
The roots on sarrs do get quite long on mature tall plants, the more depth you have, in my opinion, the better. Cheers Steve
swizz
True.. I have to repot my plants this year to bigger pots as roots are coming out of the draining holes.
robs
I use 4 litre rose pots which are deeper than full size pots and they never get dry at the top .
LynelVynel
I also use rose pots, seems to me getting a good amount of root = good vigor
