Utricularia in cocopeat

2 posts in this topic

As many of you will know, have been experimenting with alternative composts for many years. I am currently favouring a mix of (Fertile Fibre) cocopeat, Moorland Gold and perlite, but like to try different combinations.

This is a Utricularia bisquamata 'Betty's Bay' in pure cocopeat, it was a small plug plant last year and has been sending out runners to colonise the rest of the pot, obviously doing well as it is flowering too. I have tried cocopeat in the past for Utricularia with mixed results, although on Tim's recommendation Fertile Fibre is salt free and producing good results, so give it a go!
