Simon797
So I would like to buy some new Cp's but can anyone name some nice plants that aren't to hard to grow. For example some species of Drosera , Heliamphora or other species for that matter. I can provide numerous growing conditions ex. under grow lights or in my greenhouse. I have the following species: ( I may have forgotten some ) Drosera - Capensis - Capensis "Alba" - Madagascariensis - Aliciae - Scorpioides - Anglica Dionaea -Typical - "Red" Sarracenia -Flava - Psittacina - Purpurea - Various hybrids Pinguicula - xTina Nepenthes - "Miranda" - "Rebecca Soper" - x Ventrata - "Bloody Mary" Heliamphora - Nutans x Heterodoxa Cephalotus - Typical Thank you for your time it took for reading this Edited June 11, 2012 by Simon797
mobile
Heliamphora ionassi x heterodoxa is an easy one for me, H. minor also grows well. I grow both on a windowsill.
Dieter
Having a focus on pygmy and tuberous drosera myself I would go a little more into these. I found D. scorpioides on your list, but there are many other easy pygmy species which will bring some nice colours into your collection, e.g. D. callistos for some orange, D. lasiantha in purple, D. pulchella in many variations and so on. If you want to give tuberous drosera a try, D. menziesii would be an easy and beautiful species to start with. Tubers should become available in this forum soon, at least judging from my own plants. But then, it all depends on what you like and which genera you would like to grow. There are so many beautiful species and hybrids available, that you just have to pick what you prefer. Cheers Dieter

SoLongFairWell
Drosera binata (both the regular form and the Extrema one), filliformis filliformis, rotundifolia. Get a nice Sarracenia x Judith Hindle or/and Juthatip Soper plus Brookes Hybrid. Nepenthes subayanensis, ventricosa, give nepenthes jacquelineae a try as it's gorgeous. Try and get D. capensis 'Red Form' as it's stunning. VFT 'spider' is nice as is Southwest Giant. Utricularia ulvida & sandersonii are pretty and easy. You're on the right track already. Stay away from lowland nepenthes unless you can provide a terrarium sufficiently warm.
