9 posts in this topic

I got this plant for a year now and this is the 1st time I saw it appear on my roridula

Its the only insect that can walk around freely on the plant, but it doesn't look like a Pameridea (Assassin Bug ) at all

I also think this could be its home :(

Can anyone identify this bug for me, thx!

Greenfly?

I saw many smaller "black" flies got stuck

Being green must be special!

No idea what the bug is, but it does look to be a true BUG.

It is not the same as in the above link - those green juverniles have short wings, this one is an adult and different to those adults

and it is certainly not an aphid (greenfly).

I doubt it will harm your plant (even if it does suck sap ?) and will probably help supply nutrients. I suspect it's just a local bug sucking from the trapped insects - study it and enjoy the fact that your plant is becoming more 'natural' with associated bugs.

Yes, definitely British. It is a Capsid bug (Lygocoris pabulinus). It feeds on plant sap.
