Pretty nice your "aquavase" (I dont know the name), now you need to put some copepods and daphnia on the water to see the plant capturing them.

You have done it very nicely Robert, i really like the aquatic culture of Genlisea.

Are these genlisea from me? I have a small update about G. violacea, which you could find useful - it is G. violacea "Giant". I did not know about it when i was sending you the plant, it was told me additionally

i've never grown them from seed so dont know, but i would think it would be best if you planted them on peat and then if you wanted when there older move then into a semiaquatic home like i have done,

this is what Triffid Nurseries Seed Germination Guide says,

Genlisea species, The Corkscrew Plants,

Use a soil mix of 3 parts sphagnum moss peat : 1 part sand at temperatures of 25 - 35C.

Genlisea often show low seed viability and the use of GA is recommended.

i would put a plastic bag over them as well but thats just me,

good luck with them,

Robert.

hey there, i just order some genlisea filiformis seeds, will it be okay if i plant it on water? can you describe the growing condition and media?thank you
