  1. I bought it from our agricalturist it is very common chemical for table grapes, tomatoes and many other...propably the availability depends on agricaltural prodaction and climate...
  2. I am Growing sarracenia almost 7 years now without any serious problem but from Autom of 2016 a nightmare begins...Some of my sarracenia infected with botrytis(propably somehow from our vineyards ).Fist I let the pots almost dry and I increase the air movement after I was start to searching for a good chemical fungicide I begin with NEOTOPSIN 70 WG but very soon I saw some good results in infected plants but not in spores wich they can widely spread with the weaker movement of air.... so more plants infected! I made a research and I find that maybe trichoderma helps I made one applies per week for 3 weeks no results.. (careful with trichoderma grains becouse it contain very hight ammout of salts and increase the ppm of water...). I finaly find some ecological treatment from Bayer Serenade Max WP botrytis special design to stop botrytis spores and reduce the infection .After 2 months and 4 applies the new plants infections stoped and some of infeced overcome!!!I must say that after the spraying Bayer Serenade Max WP a thin withe layer cover the plant and prevent the spores to propagate and spread! Finaly I aslo tested on Drosera filiformis with excellent results! I hope to be helpful those results! Best regards, Pantelis
  3. Well the groing points looks very well before the infection without any rot or cancer due to they were almost all small to medium plants and they were seeds grown 3-4 years old.
  4. It is very distarbing also that when I made a claim to paypal they do not accept it and they said : "After careful consideration, we're unable to decide this claim in your favor at this time. The listing accurately described the item you received. We cannot grant claims based on buyer's remorse." Propably he knows that we can not take our money back from paypal and he continue to do this, but if you whant to be a remarkable sheller you can not have those attitudes with your customers....
  5. Hi everyone I bought some drosera capensis and binata seeds from www.czplants.com and 2 moths now I do not see any sight of germination .The seeds was too old and defective. When I made my order I mention that I would like fresh seeds.....It is very disappointing to spend all those money and time for nothing......I have also send an email to www.czplants.com and they ignor me..... Total waste of money and unprofessional behaviour........
  6. Hi Richard , First of all Iam not a beginner in carnivorous plants I have been growing binata and capensis 7 yaers now and I have mora than 17 varieties of each one.I sow them in mini thermal greenhouce at 25C costant temberature and 12h lighting in my house in December to have almost mature plants at the end of Summer. The fresh seeds germinating from 7-14 days if they are older 3-4 weeks .The binata seeds does not last to me frech more that 4 yaers in ziplock bags the capensis last more 5 years. So be sure that those seeds was too old , also if you will check the internet you will see many people to make complains about seeds from this website...unfortunately Iam not the onlyone....
  7. Yes they have a very good service and packing...and they are gentle to bonus plants... do not warry....

  11. Hi everyone I would like to share with you the fault that many carnivorous plants e-shops do with Pinguicula megaspilae ( Pinguicula crystallina subsp. hirtiflora ) , megaspilae is a location in Greece and specific in Mount Megaspileon (Peloponnese) so why almost all call it " Pinguicula megaspilae {Anatolie, Turquie}" ??? What common do they have a spesific Greek location with "Anatolie, Turquie" which is an unspesific area in Turkey?I hoppe someone let me know how this locations and names from two countries mix up... More information :http://www.pinguicula.org/pages/plantes/pinguicula_crystallina_hirtiflora.htm Best regards, Pantelis
  12. Kamil Pasek send this pdf : http://www.carnivorousplants.org/cpn/articles/CPNv44n2p48_61.pdf as far as I read it I say that the P.megaspilaea has a unique characteristics from all the others.....Also the P. habilii "does not correspond to the term “heterophyllous” as applied by Casper (1966) for his classification of Pinguicula growth types " but the P.megaspilaea is “heterophyllous” or not?
  13. I use Aquamedic aqualine T5 reef white 10000K without any problem but your led lamp as far as I can see does not have the red spectrum of light that all the plants need to have for a normal growth so I do not think that it is suitable!

  16. Well I was study in univercity electrical engineering so it was quite easy the wiring!A programable week timer with two outputs one out control the lighting periode and the other the moisture periode. The only thing that I am not sure is the quality of lighting I will increase the wattage of led 6400k to 50w if i am not see any coloration in new growth of hellianphora....
  17. Hi to everyone! I start this topic due to I have many varieties and locations of Drosera Capensis but still do not see any diference between some varieties such as Drosera Capensis compact and Drosera Capensis wide leaf. The more I try to clear the differnce the more I confused...So I will try to expose the characteristics of each variety or location. Flower differences Drosera Capensis wide leaf Drosera Capensis normal Drosera Capensis broad leaf Similarities Drosera Capensis wide leaf picture host Drosera Capensis compact image hosting 5mb New update! Drosera Capensis Crested leaf! The mutant flower! sc reencast Drosera capensis - Dark maroon, BG Bonn This variety start to take coloration on Octomber the full and hot sun does not change the coloration it prefear full and cool sun, also It is very sensitive to hight temberatures (45 C )in adition with all the other varieties although the greenhousehas 30% shade, from the 16 plants I had on May only 6 servive until now the rest of them dry out but they caming back from the roots just like in the winter when they froze!!!!
  18. Τhousands of Pinguicula crystallina subsp hirtiflora in natural habitat of Greece!!! In a very Isolated place 700m altitude , in a very wet and very rocky soil (90%rock) , I measure the ppm in the water I found it 158ppm-190ppm very high for the most carnivorous plants, well I was curious about this variety due to there is a "myth" about that say it can grow in limestone after the measurement I can say that it will be for sure! Many plants grow as epiphytic in rocks without any soil! and the biggest ware in shaded places! Many plants tend to have a red colored cender instead of others which stay yellow-green, maybe a mutation will start! I hope to enjoy them as I do....! upload
  19. Hi everyone ,on 18-11-2015 I receive my N.Hamata and some Heliamfora from Wistuba very well pact and healthy....from that day all my nepenthes and almost all heliamfora start to have problems like dry lives and pitchers with out any reason....so I search in the forum and internet and I see that some people have mite problems from Wistuba Iam not expert in mites symptoms so Iam asking you to see the pictures and tell me if you can what is the problem.... The first picture is taken by 20-11-2015 my Hamata has all the pitches healthy so the Heliamphora too... image url upload Now a closer look of symptoms: 20mb image hosting
  20. I will make a full presentation in Nepenthes section or in propagation section in next 7 days due to I am doing some upgrades....I hope to finish it until Friday!I let you now!
  21. First of all I do not have any conflict with Andreas I just ask an opinion on forum, I dont have to ask you what I am going to publish or where..... keep your comments for you I dont want them.... Secondly I say what I find in this forum and some others..... some growers have a mite problem when the get palnts from there , I dont judge enyone for that it is natural this problem.,...And I also contact to Andreas but I canot wait or I do not know if I have the time to wait for an aswer becouse the plants are not in a good condition........Also the pictures that I find for N.Hamata with mite problem is almost the same like mine thats why I ask for an opinion in this forum... The set up is on our bacement which the tembelature drops at night (in winter) 15-13C at day is 20 C and I heat the palnts from our central heat with a line and a heatsink with a fan in small polystyrene box in almost 26c some time lower due to it is a basement It has high moisture I do not have loses and the plants are betwen 80-100%.
  22. I grow them in 26C day 15- 13 night and 80-100% moisture , I know that is not easy to grow them , but I grow them in artificial enviroment not outdors also in summer I will have them in refrigerator I am not going to try groing outside...
