I've had a Nepenthes for ages now bought as N.Alata but I see such variation when I see images of others sold as the same and images of Ventrata looking extremely similar to mine too... Heres some pics of mine, what do people think it is? True Alata or hybrid?...

Thanks for the suggestions, I thought it would be a common easily identifiable form, perhaps not. It does look like the suggestions given when I google it. I don't know much about Pinguiculas but this one seems to do well for me, would it originate from mexico or elsewhere?

Hi all, I bought an unlabelled ping from a local plant shop quite a few years back now and I still grow several of its propagated offspring today. Would someone be able to id it from the attached pics? It would be nice to know what it's called. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Great article, very informative, just what I was looking for. What times of the year would be best for re-potting or dividing? My Dionaea has filled the pot with multiple plants but being mid Sept I suppose I should utilise the tight mass of growth for frost protection and leave it until spring?

Hi Richard, I did read in several places that not giving dormancy is not good for Dionaea. Retailers do a great job of making you think they are indoor tropical plants! I plan to keep mine outside in a small greenhouse over winter raised off the ground, its quite mild here in Essex so hopefully that will do the trick. Thanks

I have Nepenthes Alata, I bought a small plant from ebay and it grows like a weed! Also I don't know a great deal about them yet have managed to propagate plenty from one plant. -
Hi all, I stumbled upon this forum to try to find out more about the few plants I have, looks really interesting from what I've seen so far. I have Nepenthes Alata, an unknown Pinguicula and a Dionaea all doing pretty well just on a windowsill.
